Hooray for MAY!

10 May

I don’t know about you, but I thought it would NEVER get here…not just the month, but the SUNSHINE! We’ve certainly had our share of rain & muddy paws this year. With the arrival of the sun, I thought I’d post a few quick tips to help keep your fur babies safe this summer. First and foremost, NEVER leave your pet in your vehicle during daylight hours. Temperatures inside a locked car can rise 30 degrees in just 20 minutes, even with the windows down. If you see a pet in a vehicle, call your local police department immediately and they WILL respond.

Keeping your pet groomed is important all year round, but it is especially helpful in the summer and aids in keeping your pet as comfortable as possible. Additionally, always be sure to have plenty of cool (not cold) water on hand for your pet inside & outside. And don’t forget their water when you’re on a walk! It’s best to keep exercise activity to either the early morning hours or evening, when the sun isn’t beating down on you & your pet.

Here’s hoping ALL my happy clients have a safe & fun summer!
